92 new corona cases in Saudi Arabia; 35 cases have recovered

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia reported 92 new cases of the deadly coronavirus, raising the total number of cases in the Kingdom to 1,104, the Ministry of Health announced Friday.

Out of the 92 cases, 46 were found in Riyadh, 19 in Madinah, and10 in Al-Qatif, the ministry said.

Seven cases were also reported in Jeddah, four in Dammam, two in Dhahran, and another two in Buraydah.

One new case of coronavirus was reported in Hufof, and another was identified in Al Khobar.

Out of the 92 new cases, 10 are linked to travel, while the other 82 involve people who had direct contact with previously infected individuals, according to the ministry.

Ministry of health spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Al-AbdelAli said that the Kingdom has tested more than 45,000 person for the virus.

“All COVID19 cases in the Kingdom are stable, except 6 critical cases who are under intensive health care,” the spokesman added.

A total of 35 people have recovered from coronavirus in Saudi Arabia. The ministry had announced on Thursday that the death toll in the Kingdom rose to three, without reporting any new deaths on the last 24 hours.

Ministry of Education spokesperson Ibtisam Alshehri announced that the ministry will launch an electronic volunteer platform allowing students and teachers to take part in the fields of health and logistics.

“Distance education is continued in accordance with a specific timeline,” she said
