PRINCE CHARLES has come under fire after he was tested for coronavirus for showing "mild symptoms", despite NHS staff not being widely tested despite being in contact with sick people.
Prince Charles tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday evening after he started showing mild symptoms linked to COVID-19, Clarence House revealed yesterday. The Prince of Wales has been tested "for clinical reasons", Scotland's Chief Medical Dr Catherine Calderwood explained, as he was not only displaying symptoms but he is also over 70, which means he is among the most vulnerable who are more likely to suffer the most severe consequences of coronavirus, including pneumonia or death. His wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, was also tested for having been in contact with someone displaying symptoms and being over 70 herself.
In a statement, a Clarence House's spokesman also explained why the prince and duchess were tested.
